(Source: PSNI - Police Service of Northern Ireland) 01 Oct 2015 Finance update In-year Financial Management As reported last month, as Accounting Officer for the Police Budget, I am increasingly uncomfortable with the lack of clarity around the assumptions for financial management. With the ongoing financial uncertainty, we are continuing to bear down on costs to create some ability to adapt to whatever in-year budget changes emerge. The DOJ has indicated that in-year cuts, purely on a pro rata basis, could be in the range of 2.5% - 6%; and we have recently completed work to identify efficiencies that could contribute to meeting the savings at the lower end of the range advised.
